2017 had come. That night the year turned to 2017, I was working at bar ghetto, I holed Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) party and drank a lot with customers. The very strange thing was that I had a special guest who was my boss from when I used to work at his Italian restaurant when I was in Melbourne around 3 years ago and his family. It was a very strange countdown and I was very glad that I could offer food the same way he gave me that time I used to work there and I could drink with him again at my bar.
started 2017 working 7 days per week as a bartender. I had one more staff on Wednesday, I worked 6 days as a bartender at bar Ghetto, and I worked as Wednesday’s bartender at bar “OK” but I had to close cafe Olline.
Bar Ghetto is a bar that opens from 20:30 until the last customer will be satisfied and opens 365days per year. Waking up around 1 or 2 pm, going to the gym to work out, taking alcohol out of my body by going to the sauna and jacuzzi for 1 hour. Trying to write something at the cafe until 5 pm (yes. I couldn’t do it well as you know.), taking a nap for 1hour, preparing to open bar Ghetto and skateboarding to catch customers on the street. And then, opening bar Ghetto at 20:30 until the last customer is gone (next late morning). Because I wanted to have a fun time, the same as my customers, I always drank the same drink that they were drinking and of course I never refused to drink when a customer gave me a drink or Kanpai tequila shots with them. After I closed the bar, walking dizzily to my house, I fling myself down on the bed and slept like a log until I woke up again.
I continued this life 7 days per week. “Of course, you should work to open your bar every day because it is your bar and everybody who is running a bar does it” You might say it but It was hard for me. I woke up with a big headache, stomach oppression, and nausea… I drank a lot of water at the gym and threw it all up into the toilet, I took a sauna & Jacuzzi at least one hour per day and tried to take alcohol out of my body for being able to open the bar every night again. “Until when should I continue this kind of life?” Even though I had very interesting nights with all customers every night, I love to drink with them and I have a lot of joy running the bar, I was thinking about it every time when I was vomiting on the toilet (I finally could vomit without sticking the finger into my mouth)
However, A goddess who offered a helping hand suddenly appeared in front of me..
To be continued…
