The story of the Japanese mythology which I translated on those recent posts is only an introduction of the “Kojiki” (the oldest record of ancient matters of Japan). After Izanagi washed a left eye, a right eye and a nose for the final purification and the god of the sun Amaterasu-o-mi-kami (天照大御神) who was born from the left eye, ruled the Takama-no-hara (高天の原) over the heaven, the god of the moon Tsuku-yomi-no-mikoto (月読命) who was born from the right eye, ruled the Osu-kuni (食国) at night, the god Susanoo-no-mikoto (須佐之男命) who was born from the nose, ruled the ocean, this world had calmed down and stabilized as one. After that, the Japanese mythology by Kojiki continued the story as in those recent posts.
The episode where Susanoo took a crap in the shrine of Takama-no-hara, he killed the weaver girls and Amaterasu-o-mi-kami shut herself in the cave called Ame-no-Iwaya-to (天岩屋戸).
The episode where all the gods made a festival for taking her attention because the god of the sun shut down the cave and the dark world came, then she showed up from the cave and the sun came back.
The episode where Susanoo had pulled all his nails out, was banished from Takama-no-hara by all the gods and he met the goddess named Oogetsuhime (大気津比売) who asked him to give her some food, but he killed her and the grain in this world was born from her body.
The episode where the god of atrocities Susanoo roamed around the country because nobody cared for him but he helped a family from Yamata-no-orochi (八俣の大蛇 the large snake which had 8 heads and 8 tails) and he got Kusanagi-no-tachi (草薙の剣 the sword that is one of the three sacred imperial treasures now.) and got married with the daughter of the family… etc..
There are a lot of episode with gods and how they gave birth to gods or goddess. Gods and goddess gave birth to gods and goddess, gods and goddess gave birth to gods and goddess, then After the 7th generation since Izanagi-no-kami (伊邪那岐神) and Izanami-no-kami (伊邪那美神), the god “Waka-mi-kenu-no-mikoto” (若御毛沼命) known as Toyo-mi-kenu-no-mikoto (豊御毛沼命) or Kami-yamato-iware-biko-no-mikoto (神倭伊波礼毘古命) was born from Ugaya-huki-aezu-no-mikoto (鵜葺草葺不合命) and Tama-yori-hime (玉依毘売). He had arrived in Yamato (大和 It is Nara prefecture now) after he went through many hardships, he made the Imperial court called “Yamato-chotei” (大和朝廷) then he became the first emperor of Japan named “Jimmu-tenno” (神武天皇 Emperor Jimmu). It is the end of the story of Kojiki. The oldest record of ancient matters of Japan.
“What the fuck !!!!!?????”
After I heard that Guri-Yoshi’s mom said: “Opp, You should absolutely go to one more place. It is called “Jimmu-tennou-sha (神武天皇社)” the place where the first Japanese emperor Jimmu became emperor.” I was surprised about it.
“Why we have Takama-no-hara and the place where the first Japanese emperor became emperor??”
“Far from it, why nobody knows that story including me who was born and had grown up here???”
“I don’t know.. I’m from Miyazaki (宮崎), though. Miyazaki also has Takama-no-hara and because of that, I know this history. But nobody knows which is the real Takama-no-hara in fact.”
“Mom, I think that the thing which I can do for my hometown, Gose is to introduce it to people who come from overseas. It is such a crazy thing that we have both places from the beginning and from the ending of Kojiki. Probably I can not invite some Japanese tourist to Gose but I think that I can invite people from all over the world and who like Japan. I want to know the history and translate in English, first. Please help me.”
“I want to invite all my friends to Gose. So, I think what we need to do here, now is opening the guesthouse. I want to build a guesthouse where everybody can stay for free in Gose.”
“It is a great idea.”
A friend of mine who I went to Gri-Yoshi together and who is a member of the municipal assembly said to me.
“You should go to see the Gose-machi as well.”
“there are rows of houses which have been there since 400 years ago and there are some vacant houses.”
