Thank you for reading everyone, even though I couldn’t finish writing the same content last week and probably you are not really interested in it. Today I’ll try to finish this content and I want to write about my thoughts also. This week I would like to write it with pictures from my FB timeline and simple sentences. Well, Let’s get to it!!
2nd part Philippines
On the 12th of April, I left Melbourne and I arrived in Manila, Philippines. Then after 2days, I flew to Cebu which is one of more than 7,000 islands of Philippines. To begin with, the purpose of me leaving from Japan was to go to Canada with a working holiday visa. But when I got that visa, It was winter in Canada and that’s why I decided to go to Australia first which is on the opposite hemisphere as mentioned in my last post. To begin more with, the purpose of why I thought that I would go to Canada with a working holiday was that I wanted to study English for my next book and the purpose of Going to Cebu was also because of what I heard -Cebu has cheap English schools- from rumors around my Japanese friends. Anyway, because of that, I became a student for the first time in 10 years.
I woke up 7:00 am and I studied English for 8 hours per day from Monday to Friday. My school had a lot of students which were from South Koria, Taiwan, and Japan and I studied English with kindly Philippine teachers. I had a lot of friends which came here to study English because of their goals and after I studied, I went to drink with them every day. Then I turned 31 years old when I graduated that school and time to leave from Philippine had come.
Even though I was there only 1 month and It was too short of a time for me to improve my English.
3rd part Vancouver (Canada)
After I left from Cebu I stayed a couple of days in Manila and from there, I moved to Vancouver, Canada on 25th of May. At the beginning, I drifted from my friends house to the house of a person who I met with couch surfing and some guesthouse. I was also supposed to move to Toronto, Canada because downtown of Vancouver was a bit too small for a town from what I had imagined and I thought that It was gonna be hard to draw portraits there. Until I found the most peaceful beach in the world..
The beach called Wreck Beach spreads after getting across UBC and going down the 500 stairs. It is certainly not that the bluest ocean, also not a really beautiful sandy beach that spreads out. But I’m sure that there is the most peaceful beach in the world because of the people who enjoy that beach. I was surprised when I arrived there the first time because most people from there were naked as the people I met in Confest. Then I tried to draw portraits and I met a lot of peaceful people there.
The beach surrounded by a lot of greenery takes me away from the urban reality. It was full of naked people and I drew portraits being naked as well. It made me forget about what is ordinary and about reality, who am I in this world and what am I doing here? An airplane is flying somewhere in the world at a distance, the sun which lighted up the wonderful day sets on the other side of the sea very beautifully then everybody who made good new friends and spent an awesome day, yells at the sunset and says thanks to the sun.
I suddenly noticed that I was fascinated by the most peaceful beach in the world and I was going there to draw portraits every day. But I happen to look around, I know more than 30% of the entire people who show up here, fascinated by the most peaceful beach in the world, they come here every day as well. The sight is of a huge family and they talked me and treat me as well.
Even though I can’t speak English much.
Then summer was over and I decided to move to Whistler.
4rd part Vancouver (Canada)
Since 17th of Nov, I started my new life in Whistler, Canada. There are some reasons, one was because Vancouver was going to be a rainy season and also, I wanted to get an experience at the biggest ski resort in North America. I had only $60 bucks when I arrived here, I got 3 jobs and I started working hard for surviving in this resort as I mentioned in a few posts on this website. Also, I started my new website and I’m writing an English blog at least once a week for practicing my English. I also practice snowboarding now because my work schedule is less busy due to the end of the season. But I want to write how is on the mountain and how much I improved my snowboarding skill on the next post.
My thoughts on last year
Finally, I can write my thoughts from here. From the above, I can realize that I met a lot of good people and I got a lot of experience from them. Also, I’m really grateful about that and I’m sure that if you didn’t meet me at that time, my life wouldn’t be as great as now. But on the other hand, I really regret that I didn’t study English as much and I’m sick with my English not improving this year. I really know that it is all my fault because I spent a lot of time with FB, Youtube, Japanese comedy or porn sites and I didn’t study English. I was lazy with studying and I escaped to my desire which is easy to understand and interesting for me who can understand Japanese. But this I can do in Japan without having to go abroad.
In fact, since I started to write my website, I came to write sentences in English. I came to open my laptop and check for a word which I need to say so I looked it up with the dictionary. I came to spend time for writing English and to go to Tim Horton for concentration 2-3 times per week, even if I have a day off and I can go out somewhere. Because I promised that I will write a new post every single day with you and I don’t want to break it. But then I continued it for 3 months, I have gotten used to writing English little by little (really really little though..) and I came to be able to read English sentence a little bit. However, I still open FB, Youtube… and I spend a lot of time with Japanese word. At first, I have to stop opening those things and I have to study English in between. Then my weakest point is speaking!! I have to find some good way to get used to speaking and I’ll continue to do it this year.
Anyway, I have digressed too much from the subject but what I want to say exactly is this one year really did fly!! and probably the next one from now will also be flying like an arrow, then I won’t be having wasted time and time would be used efficiently and I won’t be saying the same word one year later. Well, I want to write about my whistler life since my last post about whistler with having efficiently time. How about my snowboarding and how much I improved it?

Don’t miss it!!
