One year passed since I left Japan on 30th of JAN. Today I want to write about what I think about this year which I spent overseas. But I want to write it with pictures from my FB timeline and simple sentence because I really didn’t have enough time this week. I think you are not really interested in it, but please stay with me one moment. I can categorize into 4 parts this year: from JAN is Australia part, from APR is Philippine part, from MAY is Vancouver (Canada) part, and from NOV till now is Whistler (Canada) part. So, What’s happened to me in this time? Let’s get the ball rolling right away!!
1st part Australia
On the 30th of JAN, I left Japan and I arrived in Melbourne, Australia. Then the next day, I visited Cobram (3hours from Melbourne by train and bus) to meet the best Italian friend of mine who I met in Cairns, Australia and who visited me in Japan and we drank every day at my bar in Tokyo. He was working at my bar and cafe as Pizza cooker and after that, he went to Australia again to work on a farm job.
Look at this picture!!
I was very fatso one year ago!!
Anyway, I was very happy that we could drink in Australia again. Then I started to work with him and a lot of good Italian friends as fruit picker on the farm. I woke up at 5:00 am and went to work every single day. We lived in a caravan park, made good Italian meals, jumped in the pool, bong sessions and watching HERO (TV show) every day. There was no WiFi, TV, or own car but It was so fun because I was with them.
Even though everybody spoke Italian and I didn’t understand.
But after 2 months the end of the harvest season came and our farm run out of all crops. Then I decided to come back to Melbourne to go to a festival called Confest. When I was in Melbourne, I was Living with 5 Taiwanese roommates and I spent a good time and enjoyed good music because two girls were street musicians and they sung every night.
Even though everybody spoke Mandarin and I didn’t understand it.
Then I went to Confest which was a 1week festival for celebrating Easter and I met a lot of happy and peaceful people. There is beautiful nature and handmade hot springs, saunas, mud pools around the clean river. This festival has one big time schedule board where everybody can write what they can share, their skill or knowledge and hold a lot of workshops all over the festival site.
But the best thing that surprised me, was that everybody was naked around the river site which I mentioned above. I also tried to be naked and It was my first experience to be naked regardless of sex during daytime.
So, Unfortunately, I can’t write another part this week. A lot of things happened this week for me but it is just my fault that I couldn’t manage my time. I’m sorry for people who read this till the end. I’ll finish writing 3 more parts and my thoughts next week.
